Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of commercial archaeological projects from Milton Keynes regional office. You will oversee budgets, resources, and logistics, ensure QA of archives and reports, and travel to project sites as needed.

The role requires strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with driving licence and MCIfA or eligibility to join.

Qualifications

• Degree in archaeology or related subject
• Proven experience managing a broad range of commercial archaeological fieldwork projects
• Excellent communication and leadership skills and ability to liaise with clients and sponsors

Responsibilities

• Tender for and manage the safe delivery of CA fieldwork projects to time and budget
• Ensure quality of fieldwork, archives and reports
• Oversee resources and costs to deliver value for money
• Manage health and safety across projects and travel as required
• Line manage departmental staff and develop training
• Represent CA at meetings and events and contribute to business development
