Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is seeking talented Archaeological Geophysicists to join our Geophysics team. The role involves supervising on-site and office-based work across the UK and Europe, delivering high-quality geophysical investigations with strong client liaison and reporting.

Applicants should have a geophysics or archaeology background, be a member (or eligible to join) of CIfA at ACIfA level, hold a full manual driving licence and be willing to undertake away work as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in geophysics, archaeology or closely related Earth science subject or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise archaeological geophysical projects to ensure high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Undertake project setup elements including risk assessments and method statements.
• Conduct fieldwork and data processing, interpretation and reporting.
