Job summary

New City College is seeking two Senior Curriculum Managers to lead apprenticeship provision within the Apprenticeships & Business Development Directorate. You will manage lecturers and assessors, while maintaining a teaching commitment of about 9 hours per week to stay connected with curriculum delivery and learner experience.

You will drive high standards, ensure employer engagement, and oversee quality assurance and funding compliance across Building Services and Engineering apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with apprenticeship or vocational education experience.
• Experience delivering and managing apprenticeship programmes.
• Strong leadership and line management of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an allocated apprenticeship curriculum area, providing direction, support and performance management to lecturers and assessors.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, assessment and apprentice achievement, ensuring learners successfully progress and complete their programmes on time.
• Monitor curriculum performance, learner progress, quality indicators and end-point assessment readiness, implementing improvement strategies where required.
• Ensure effective staff deployment, curriculum planning, employer engagement and compliance with apprenticeship funding and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the directorate's strategic objectives, supporting growth, quality improvement and an outstanding apprentice experience.
