Job summary

Mistral AI in London is seeking a Technical Lead, Applied AI to drive the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions. You will lead a project team of Applied AI Engineers, ensuring successful deployment of Mistral AI products and high-impact AI use cases.

You will act as the primary technical contact for strategic customers, guiding them from pre-sales to post-implementation, collaborating with research, product, and engineering to shape offerings.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required and strong communication skills.
• PhD or Master’s in AI, ML, CS, or related field.
• 7–8+ years in AI/ML with 2+ years in technical leadership.
• Proven track record leading teams to deliver enterprise AI projects.
• Deep expertise in fine-tuning LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, and NLP deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Applied AI Engineers and mentor the team.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Collaborate with research, product, and engineering to align roadmaps.
• Deliver as an IC on critical project components and codebase.
