Intec Select Limited is seeking a Contract Software Engineer (Applied AI) for a fully remote UK role lasting six months. The team builds internal AI tooling and evaluation infrastructure, moving workflows to self-service products.

You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborating with users and annotators to scope problems and validate AI-generated outputs. Requirements include 6+ years building production software, proficiency in Python/TypeScript/Java, strong communication, and experience with

• 6+ years building production software across APIs, backends, data systems or full-stack.
• Proven end-to-end ownership from problem to launch and iteration.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java or similar.
• Strong written and verbal communication and product judgment.
• Experience with automated testing and observability.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted development and validation.

Responsabilidades

• Build end-to-end internal products, integrations and data workflows.
• Turn prototypes into reusable capabilities.
• Design evaluation loops for AI-powered workflows.
• Apply production engineering practices: testing and observability.
• Collaborate with technical users and annotators to scope problems.
• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex) and validate outputs.
• Owner and prioritize multiple workstreams with proper handoff.
