Job summary

IntaPeople Limited, a growing software business delivering enterprise-scale platforms, seeks a Senior Application Support Engineer to own complex issues and drive reliability. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in Cardiff and a modern engineering culture.

You will escalate, diagnose and resolve 2nd/3rd line incidents, perform root cause analysis, mentor juniors and contribute to the knowledge base. Strong SQL, PowerShell, Jira, and Git skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in Application Support, Software Support or a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries.
• Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in a production environment.
• Knowledge of Jira or similar ticketing systems.
• Experience with Git, Bitbucket or similar version control tools.
• Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

We're recruiting for a growing software business delivering enterprise-scale platforms to customers across international markets. With continued investment in technology and engineering, they're looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join their team and take ownership of complex application support issues.

What you'll be doing

• Acting as a senior escalation point for complex application issues
• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving 2nd/3rd line support incidents
• Carrying out root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
• Working closely with Engineering and Service Delivery teams
• Writing and maintaining automation scripts
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles

What we're looking for

PL/SQL is preferred but not essential. Candidates with strong SQL experience are encouraged to apply.
