Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Application Analyst to join the Devon Epic EPR programme. You will configure the Beacon oncology module to ensure safe clinical, operational and administrative workflows and lead change, testing and troubleshooting.

The role includes analysing workflows with clinical and digital colleagues, supporting system configuration, testing, upgrades and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and ongoing transformation of the Devon Epic EPR system.
• Configure the Beacon (Oncology) application area so workflows run safely and effectively.
• Analyse workflows with clinical, operational and digital colleagues.
• Support system configuration, testing and optimisation activities.
• Lead change management within the application.
• Troubleshoot system issues.
• Maintain system documentation.
• Take part in testing programmes.
• Contribute to major upgrades and optimisation initiatives.
• Take on additional leadership responsibilities within the application.
• Take part in a 24/7 and/or on-call rota for major releases, incidents, upgrades or periods of heightened activity.
• Travel to sites across Devon as required.

Job description

This Senior Application Analyst post sits in the Devon Epic electronic patient record programme at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, shared across Devon's acute trusts. The work centres on configuring the Beacon oncology application so clinical, operational and administrative workflows run safely, with change leadership, testing and troubleshooting. Senior leadership duties sit alongside the analyst work; the post can be based at any of four locations, with Devon-wide travel and an on-call rota for major releases. A sphinx suitability test is part of shortlisting.
