Hours per week: 37 hours
Interview date: 5 and 6 November 2026
Make a real difference to communities across Wiltshire as our Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Reduction Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the council’s response to anti-social behaviour (ASB) and community safety issues, helping residents feel safer and supported. Working at the heart of a wide-ranging partnership network, you will coordinate proactive solutions to reduce crime, disorder and the fear of crime, while ensuring those affected by ASB receive a robust and effective response.
As the lead officer for complex ASB casework, you will manage challenging investigations, oversee Anti-Social Behaviour Case Reviews and chair the Anti-Social Behaviour Risk Assessment Conference (ASBRAC). You will bring together partners including the police, housing providers, town and parish councils, community groups and internal council services to develop practical, long-term solutions. You will also represent the council at community and multi‑agency meetings, providing expert advice on legislation, policy and best practice.
This role offers significant variety and responsibility - you will lead problem‑solving initiatives, analyse crime and performance data, contribute to strategic community safety priorities and support the delivery of enforcement measures where appropriate. This may include Public Spaces Protection Orders, Closure Orders, Community Protection Warnings and Notices, alongside preparing high‑quality evidence and documentation to support legal action. Your ability to make sound decisions, manage sensitive situations and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders will be essential.
Alongside operational leadership, you will mentor and provide professional oversight to Anti‑Social Behaviour Reduction Officers, promoting consistency, best practice and service excellence. If you are an experienced community safety professional with strong partnership‑working skills, a thorough understanding of ASB legislation and a passion for improving outcomes for residents, we would love to hear from you. Join us and help shape safer, stronger communities across Wiltshire.
