Job summary

Compass is seeking an experienced Android engineer to help build a platform that makes the home buying or selling experience delightful. You will be a technical leader within your team, collaborating with Product and Design to take ideas to production with high autonomy and ownership.

You will distill product requirements into actionable work, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions that improve performance, modularity, and operability across services.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Experience leading projects from planning to release with team mentorship.
• Master CS fundamentals and Android design patterns.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of Android features with autonomy.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices.
• Perform code reviews and maintain high test coverage.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape the roadmap.
• Drive modularization and scalable codebase improvements.
