Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design and deliver robust Android features in a hybrid work setup. You will collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers and backend teams to ship high-performance apps.

You will mentor engineers, drive modern architecture practices, and continuously improve code quality, testing, and CI/CD workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Android development experience with a track record of shipping apps on Google Play.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Android architecture.
• Experience with Dependency Injection and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong automated testing mindset with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, Gradle, and modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of complex, scalable Android features.
• Drive mobile architecture best practices (MVVM/Clean Architecture).
• Monitor, profile, and optimize app performance and startup times.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering standards.
• Collaborate with design, product and backend teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
