Job summary

Compare the Market is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join a fast-moving data and analytics function in London. You will lead multi-stream data initiatives, shape strategy with engineering leadership, and build scalable analytics solutions using SQL, DBT and Python on modern data platforms.

You will drive best practices in data modelling, testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence, partner cross-functionally to deliver trusted data products and executive reporting, and mentor

Qualifications

• Experience delivering analytics, reporting and BI from discovery to adoption.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Attention to data quality, reliability engineering and performance optimisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication across tech and non-tech audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery across multiple data analytics workstreams and shape strategy with analytics engineers and leadership.
• Design, build and maintain scalable analytics solutions using SQL, DBT, Python and modern data platforms.
• Drive best practices in data modelling, testing, CI/CD, documentation and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product, Analytics, Technology and Data Platform teams to deliver data products and insights.
• Own complex data incidents from identification to root cause analysis and prevention.
• Mentor and develop engineers, unblock teams, and promote independent delivery.
