Datatech Analytics in London is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to head the data function and chart a path to Head of Data Engineering. You will lead an agile team, drive technical delivery, and bridge product teams with enterprise clients.

You will review SQL/Python code, architect modern data solutions, and guide engineering decisions in a high-growth AI SaaS environment with a clear trajectory to leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership track record and experience leading Data Engineers.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python.
• Experience delivering external-facing data solutions to clients.
• Commercial acumen with SaaS, product-led or fast-paced scale-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Data Engineers.
• Own team roadmaps, standards, and quality controls.
• Partner with external enterprise customers to translate requirements into data products.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, and Software Engineering leaders.
• Review code and SQL, enforce best practices across pipelines.
• Scale the function and shape long-term data strategy.
