Soho House & Co is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join its data team in London to enhance the data platform. You will develop advanced analytics features in the transformations layer, optimise performance, and collaborate with data engineers to ensure scalable pipelines.

The role requires expert SQL, dbt Core/Cloud, Snowflake, and managing semantic layers for BI tools such as Omni or Looker. You will also steward data observability and GitHub-based workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL data modelling for analytics and reporting.
• Experience building scalable dbt transformations and materialisations.
• Familiarity with Snowflake performance tuning and AI functions.
• Experience administering dbt Cloud and scheduling workflows.
• Experience with semantic layers for BI tools (Omni/Looker).
• Knowledge of data observability tools and data quality practices.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering teams on pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Develop advanced SQL transformations in dbt to support complex analytics.
• Optimise dbt performance and materialisations to reduce build times.
• Set up dbt projects with stable, scalable codebases and best practices.
• Administer dbt Cloud (Fusion) including scheduling and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate transformation with ingestion layers.
• Implement data observability to monitor data quality and reliability.
• Manage semantic layer in Omni to ensure governed metrics are available.
• Maintain GitHub repos with tests and CI workflows.
• Contribute to master data management docs and coding standards.
