Job summary

Perk is seeking an Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into high-quality datasets and visualisations. You will own ELT pipelines, data modelling, testing, and performance tuning within our cloud data stack, collaborating with analysts and business teams.

Based near London or Barcelona hubs, you will contribute to scalable data solutions and Looker dashboards, while adopting modern data stack practices and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience in a data-focused role (Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Developer).
• Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimising complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) or similar data transformation frameworks is essential.
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT principles, and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Proficiency with Git for collaborative development and version control.
• Familiarity with Looker for reporting/BI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data into clean, ready-to-use data models in Snowflake.
• Data Modelling: implement best-practice data modelling and CI/CD, lineage in data architectures.
• Data Quality and Testing: write data quality checks, tests, and monitoring scripts for transformed data assets.
• Collaboration: work with Data Analysts and business users to align data models with reporting needs.
• Performance Optimisation: tune SQL queries and data models to improve warehouse latency and performance.
• Tool Adoption: promote Git and CI/CD in data workflows.
• Build scalable Looker visualisations for large teams.
