Job summary

Futureheads is seeking an Analytics Engineer on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on analytics engineering, data modelling and semantic layer design to support trusted datasets and scalable analytics.

You will design dbt models, modernise legacy data structures, and ensure high data quality while enabling self-service analytics across the business. The position offers remote/hybrid work and a strong extension potential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with dbt tooling.
• Advanced SQL and data modelling expertise.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms.
• Understanding of semantic layers and metrics frameworks.
• Experience modernising legacy data models and migrations.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise scalable dbt models.
• Refactor data models to improve performance and quality.
• Develop semantic layer definitions and trusted metrics.
• Support large-scale data and system transformation programmes.
• Ensure data quality via testing and monitoring.
• Enable self-service analytics across the organisation.
• Contribute to analytics engineering governance and docs.
