Job summary

Lorien is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join a high-profile transformation programme, operating at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and AI-enabled decision making. You will develop scalable, governed data products and a semantic layer for self-service analytics.

Responsibilities include building pipelines with dbt and Snowflake, mentoring analysts, and ensuring governance across the data stack with Airflow, AWS, and AI-driven analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and dimensional modelling knowledge.
• Experience building analytics data products for self-service analytics.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into well-structured data models and metrics definitions.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines with dbt, Snowflake and Airflow.
• Create and manage semantic models and metrics layers for consistent reporting.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver data products enabling self-service analytics.
• Develop clean, governed datasets for users and AI/LLM-powered apps.
• Migrate legacy reporting into a central, governed data layer.
• Champion analytics engineering best practices including testing and CI/CD.
• Drive data modelling standards, naming conventions and governance.
• Mentor analysts and engineers in modern analytics practices.
