Title: Analytical/Senior Development Scientist -> Associate Principal Scientist

SRG is working with a global CDMO that is rapidly expanding and looking for multiple Analytical Scientists at various levels to support their API division.

We are seeking candidates ranging from Scientist, Senior Analytical Scientist, to Associate Principal Scientist to join a rapidly growing global pharmaceutical company in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be involved in the Non-GMP analysis of intermediates and APIs, utilizing HPLC, GC, and various other techniques in a development setting. Senior positions will involve leading and guiding analytical development projects and providing analytical advice to colleagues.

To be successful, you should have a strong background in HPLC and GC analysis, specifically with APIs and/or small molecules within the pharmaceutical industry. Recent experience with other analytical methodologies such as NMR, MS, IR, or XRD is highly desirable.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

1. Identify, develop, and optimize synthetic routes to small molecule drug substances (APIs), supporting both early and late-phase development.
2. Develop, validate, and carry out Tech Transfer on analytical methods (both GMP and non-GMP).
3. Calibration and routine monitoring/maintenance of analytical equipment.
4. Support the site Quality Management System, including investigations and CAPAs.
5. Utilize techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, MS, IR, and XRD.
6. Associate Principal Scientist role: Lead and guide scientists within the analytical development team.

Skills Required

• Educated to BSc, MSc, or PhD in a scientific discipline.
• Background in Analytical Chemistry with recent experience in HPLC, GC, and other analytical techniques.
• Recent experience with APIs and small molecule analysis is essential.
• Method development experience is highly desired.

Senior Position Requirements

• Experience with regulatory requirements for development and validation of analytical methods for APIs.
• Project leadership experience.
