Job summary

Aurora Energy Research in Oxford is seeking an Advisory Senior Analyst to support the GB & Ireland advisory team. You will deliver data-based insights on the energy transition, apply Aurora’s market models to client needs, and present findings to senior clients.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in energy or related fields, with a strong degree and excellent communication skills. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to grow as an industry expert under senior guidance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' work experience in the energy sector or a related professional field.
• A first class or upper second-class bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to think independently, form hypotheses and analyse complex quantitative data.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Genuine interest in energy economics and the energy transition.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quantitative analysis to deliver bespoke insights using Aurora’s energy market models.
• Monitor market activity and stay updated on developments.
• Develop presentation materials and contribute to client workshops.
• Contribute to expansion of Aurora’s analytical tools and thought leadership.
