Job summary

Aurora Energy Research in Oxford is recruiting for a Graduate Modelling Programme. You will develop and maintain energy market models, work with software teams to convert models into actionable tools, and contribute to client-facing insights, within a structured training path.

Ideal candidates bring a quantitative degree, programming exposure (Python or similar), and strong English communication. The role is hybrid with in-office and home working in the UK.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in a quantitative field such as Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Economics.
• Experience with quantitative data through coursework, projects or internships.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with clear reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Aurora’s energy market models.
• Collaborate with software/engineering to turn models into actionable software.
• Work with research/consulting teams to derive insights from model results.
• Contribute to improving modelling team operations.
