Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist based at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, to lead and develop anaesthetic services across multiple sites within the Trust.

The post requires full GMC registration and a licence to practice, with specialist register entitlement or within 6 months of CCT in Anaesthetics. Expertise in upper and lower limb regional anaesthesia is essential, with significant ENT anaesthesia experience.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT in Anaesthetics.
• Evidence of ALS and MBChB or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthesia for elective orthopaedics and high-risk cases, including ENT.
• Deliver direct clinical care across sites within the Northern Care Alliance.
• Contribute to perioperative care and clinical governance; participate in theatre duties.
