Job summary

Infleqtion, Inc. is expanding its UK-based physics team in Kidlington, Oxford, to advance quantum RF sensor systems. The role focuses on experimental AMO physics, translating product needs into atomic designs and progressing high-value research with a collaborative team.

You will work closely with physicists and engineers, contributing to modelling, testing, and integration of quantum devices, with travel up to 10% and a hybrid work arrangement in the UK office.

Qualifications

• PhD in experimental AMO physics.
• Experience with Rydberg physics and electrometry.
• Knowledge of control systems and signal processing.
• Programming experience in Python, Rust or C++.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Proven problem-solving and debugging of complex systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
• Lead high-value research projects.
• Model, simulate and calculate designs to meet product specs.
• Design and execute testing/verification plans.
• Integrate optics, electronics, software into quantum devices.
• Document progress and resolve project issues.
