Job summary

Infleqtion UK is seeking an experimental AMO Physicist to join our quantum RF team in Kidlington. You will contribute to ongoing R&D projects and explore new concepts for future quantum RF sensor systems, working with physicists and engineers to push the boundaries of quantum technology.

In this role you translate requirements into atomic designs, lead research projects, and help deliver devices from concept to demonstration, while collaborating across disciplines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

PhD in experimental AMO physics is required.
Experience manipulating atoms/ions/molecules with light post-PhD is essential.
Proven ability to integrate hardware and software into complex systems.

Responsibilities

Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
Lead high-value research projects and explore new concepts for quantum RF sensor systems.
Execute modelling, simulation, and analytical calculations to design systems meeting performance goals.
Design and execute testing and verification plans.
Integrate complex opto-mechanical systems, electronics and software into quantum devices.
Document progress and resolve project issues.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver both commercial and non-commercial projects.
