Job summary

Infleqtion is expanding its UK Physics Department, recruiting an experimental AMO Physicist for inertial sensing applications. You will contribute to ongoing research projects and help explore new concepts for future investigations, collaborating with physicists and engineers to advance quantum devices.

The role requires a PhD in AMO physics, experience with atom interferometry, and proficiency in Python. Hybrid work is available with up to 2 days from home, and periodic travel up to 10% is

Qualifications

PhD in experimental AMO physics or closely related field.
Knowledge of atom interferometry for inertial sensing.
Experience with laser systems, optical design, alignment and control.
Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python).
Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Translate product requirements into atomic system designs.
Model, simulate, and calculate system performance to meet product specs.
Design and execute testing and verification plans.
Integrate opto‑mechanical, electronic, and software components into quantum devices.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance projects.
