Job summary

Content Guru Limited in Bracknell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Workforce Management team, focusing on algorithmic, logical and mathematical development within the storm platform. You will design, implement and refine features using C# in a mission-critical environment.

The role expects strong problem-solving skills, ownership of complex development work, and mentoring of junior engineers.

Qualifications

Strong commercial software development experience.
Experience with C# in a commercial environment.
Experience with algorithms or mathematical components in systems.
Understanding of software development practices including version control, CI and testing.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain applications and features, focusing on algorithmic and mathematical functionality.
Write clean, well-structured and maintainable code using C#.
Develop understanding of existing algorithms, their parameters and use cases.
Identify creative and logical approaches to improving and extending algorithms.
Contribute to the design, specification and refinement of development work.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and documentation.
Work with customers and colleagues to understand requirements and explain algorithm behaviours.
Take ownership of complex development work and contribute to technical decision-making.
Support and mentor less experienced engineers where appropriate.
Continuously develop your technical knowledge and contribute to improvements across the team.
