Job summary

Content Guru is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Algorithms to join the WFM development team at the Bracknell head office. You will focus on algorithmic and mathematical development, delivering sophisticated services within our cloud CX platform.

You will apply strong C# skills, apply software engineering principles, and take ownership of complex work while supporting engineers and collaborating with customers to explain algorithm behaviours.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software development experience.
• Proficiency in C# within a commercial environment.
• Experience on systems with significant algorithmic or mathematical components.
• Solid understanding of software development practices including version control, CI and testing.
• Clear communication and ability to explain complex concepts.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications with a focus on algorithmic and mathematical functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable code predominantly in C#.
• Deeply understand existing algorithms, their parameters and use cases.
• Identify creative approaches to improve and extend algorithms.
• Contribute to design, specification and refinement of development work.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues to explain algorithm behaviours.
• Take ownership of complex development work and contribute to technical decisions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and drive improvements across the team.
