Job summary

Content Guru is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team at Bracknell Head Office. You will focus on AI-powered features, delivering high-quality Python-based applications for our storm platform.

You will take ownership of complex development tasks, mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions, tests and code quality. Strong communication and practical AI experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

Strong commercial Python experience and AI-powered solutions.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
Experience with version control, testing and modern development methods.
Ability to mentor less experienced engineers and communicate clearly.
Experience with containerisation or Kubernetes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain applications and services with a focus on Python and AI-powered functionality.
Develop features to meet customer, project and non-functional requirements.
Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
Contribute to design, specification and refinement of development work.
Participate in code reviews, testing, release and deployment activities.
Investigate technical issues and support ongoing maintenance and improvement of applications.
Promote good software engineering practices.
