Boeing in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Mechanical Stress Engineer to lead certification activities for large aircraft modifications. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and act as the technical focal point for stress matters across multiple projects.

The role requires extensive experience in primary structure modifications, FEA, and CVE within a DOA, with strong leadership and collaboration skills to deliver safe, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft primary structure modification and repair practices for metallic and/or composite structures.
• Proficiency in hand calculations, classical stress analysis and FEA.
• Recent experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) within a DOA organisation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EASA CS-25, JAR-25 and FAR 25 stress/structure requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead certification activities for large-scale commercial modifications.
• Act as the technical focal point for certification and stress matters.
• Prepare and review substantiation documents for primary structure changes.
• Represent Boeing at customer meetings and provide on-site support during embodiment.
• Develop solutions to complex engineering problems and promote safety and quality.
