Job summary

Mane Contract Services in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Stress Engineer to lead structural certification activities for large aircraft modification programmes, including Boeing 787 variants and Dash 8. You will ensure compliance with EASA/FAA CS-25/FAR 25, produce substantiation reports, perform classical stress analysis and FEA, and collaborate across international locations.

The role also involves presenting at reviews and acting as technical focal point for stress

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience in aerospace stress or structural engineering.
• Experience with EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (DOA/DOH).
• Experience in aircraft structural modification and repair.
• Knowledge of EASA CS-25/FAR 25/JAR-25.
• Experience producing structural substantiation reports.
• Proficient in classical stress analysis, hand calculations, FEA and technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural certification activities for aircraft modification programmes.
• Produce and review structural substantiation reports for primary structure modifications.
• Carry out stress analysis using hand calculations and FEA.
• Ensure compliance with EASA and FAA airworthiness requirements (CS-25/FAR 25).
• Act as technical focal point for stress and certification activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across international locations.
• Represent the engineering team at design and programme reviews (PDR/CDR/ITCM/FAI).
• Provide engineering support during aircraft modification embodiment.
