Serco Defence is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanical Senior Supervisor at RAF Syerston near Newark. You will lead maintenance on Viking and other contract aircraft, supervise teams, and ensure compliance with military and Serco policies across sites in the UK.

The role requires MOD Phase 2 or equivalent civilian training, a valid full driving licence, strong fault diagnosis, and IT competence. Travel across the UK and overnight stays may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experienced in a similar engineering background with MOD Phase 2 technical training or civilian equivalent.
• Proven experience or potential to hold Certifying Staff responsibilities.
• Experience in civilian industry or Armed Forces in a relevant trade.
• Good fault diagnosis skills and understanding of aircraft systems.
• Technically competent and holds a full driving licence.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and IT competence.
• Ideally worked in a Part 145 organisation.
• Ideally familiar with military or civilian aircraft maintenance documentation.

Responsabilités

• Lead and supervise maintenance teams on Viking and other aircraft.
• Certify staff responsibilities and align with Serco GMS and military policies.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance at RAF Syerston and other UK sites.
• Coordinate aircraft movement and preparation for transport.
• Drive Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
