Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions are recruiting a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to service and support clients across the North West. The role is mobile, with sites based in Manchester, Liverpool, Blackpool and occasional travel to Leeds and Sheffield. A competitive salary and quarterly bonus are offered alongside a van and fuel card.

You will maintain and fault-find on HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF and chillers, and ensure high safety and service standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in an air conditioning engineer role.
• F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience with Daikin, Mitsubishi and Panasonic systems is preferred.
• Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot air conditioning systems including split, VRV/VRF and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning coils and replacing filters to prolong equipment life.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct HVAC system inspections and propose effective solutions.
• Coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades with other maintenance staff.
• Adhere to safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

CBW Staffing Solutions have an exciting role to join a growing Air Conditioning & Mechanical Engineering specialist who is looking to expand their operation due to the acquisition of a contract and bring in a specialised commercial

Senior Air Conditioning Engineer

to supply this service to the existing portfolio of clients in the North West of England.

This is a mobile position

and all of the sites are based in Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool - with some travel to sites in Leeds and Sheffield.

Package

• Competitive salary up to £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Quarterly bonus for achieved objectives based on achievable targets
• Van & fuel card supplied
• Working hours between Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry - minimum of 5 years
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong working knowledge of leading manufacturer systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, etc.)
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and customer service skills
