Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd is seeking an engineer in London to service and maintain air conditioning systems. You will attend breakdowns, perform planned maintenance, and resolve faults. The role requires independent work when needed, but you will also collaborate with a team to ensure high-quality service.

The position offers a salary up to £43,000 DOE with a company van, door-to-door travel, and a standard 40-hour week. Overtime is available and a 1-in-10-week call-out rota applies.

Job description

Location: London, with UK travel and occasional overnight stays

Salary: Up to £43,000 DOE

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Call-Out: 1 in 10 weeks

Travel: Door-to-door paid at single rate

Overtime: Weekdays 1.25x, Saturdays 1.5x, Sundays and nightwork 2x

The Role

The role will mainly involve attending breakdowns and callouts, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and resolving faults on air conditioning systems. The successful engineer will need to be confident working independently when required, while also being able to work effectively as part of a team.

• Planned preventative maintenance on air conditioning systems

About You

• Strong experience in air conditioning service and maintenance
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge
• F-Gas 2079 Category 1
• CSCS ACRIB card preferred
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to travel and occasional overnight stays
• Good communication skills and professional approach
