Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Glasgow invites a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to join the IPB Technology AIML team. You will translate business problems into agentic AI solutions and deliver production-grade AI services with measurable client impact across markets.

Lead end-to-end design, build, and delivery of high‑impact IPB AI/ML use cases, focusing on guardrails, governance, and scalable cloud deployments. Mentoring junior engineers and driving responsible AI practices are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on AI/ML concepts and applied experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Fluent with AI coding tools and judicious use in development.
• Hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying ML models to production.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Strong experience delivering design, development, testing, and reliability for ML/data systems.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders; translating tech for non-technical audiences.
• Master's degree in CS/DS/Engineering or equivalent applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end delivery of IPB AI/ML use cases from problem framing to production services.
• Leads engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products for IPB advisors and clients.
• Sets engineering quality bar through code reviews, design, and pairing with peers.
• Establishes Responsible AI controls, guardrails, observability, and model risk controls.
• Partners with IPB business stakeholders to surface and fund AI/ML opportunities.
• Represents AIML in governance forums; ensures regulatory and data-privacy considerations are reflected.
• Contributes to GenAI education through training content and mentoring.
• Champions JPMorgan Chase culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
