Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Associate, Applied AI/ML Engineer to design and productionize Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions in Glasgow.

You will build GenAI apps, agentic systems, and tool-using workflows with Java and/or Python, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. Ideal candidates will have hands-on GenAI delivery experience, familiarity with MCP, and strong ML engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, and observability.

Qualifications

• Undergrad or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building applied AI/ML or GenAI solutions (RAG, summarization, extraction, copilots).
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Agent Skills connecting models to tools/data.
• Experience delivering production systems in Java and/or Python with APIs/microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy GenAI and Agentic AI solutions for business workflows.
• Build LLM/SLM-powered apps including RAG and tool-using agents.
• Engineer production-grade Java/Python services (REST/gRPC, microservices).
• Develop prompts and evaluation automation to improve quality.
• Create data pipelines and ML/GenAI workloads on cloud services.
• Apply MLOps across the lifecycle: experimentation, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Implement testing and observability for AI services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and rollout plans.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
