Job summary

Zego is seeking a Senior AI Product Manager to join the Platform team. You will own a domain within Platform, shaping quarterly strategy, balancing new capabilities with legacy rebuilds, and ensuring AI-ready services with robust APIs for agents and apps.

You will work with Legal, Compliance, and Finance to embed compliance, while driving reliable, scalable platform investments across the policy lifecycle and customer journeys.

Qualifications

• Platform product ownership with track record of delivering material business impact in high-growth environments.
• Technical literacy with engineers on system architecture, APIs, event-driven services and workflows.
• Experience leading incremental rebuilds of critical services while keeping lights on.
• Data-driven decision making using financial, behavioral and usage data; familiarity with Snowflake/Looker.
• Ability to untangle dependencies across domains and explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated environments (insurance, payments, financing or financial services) with compliance integrated into product design.
• Proactive, AI-first mindset; comfortable experimenting and owning rapid iteration.

Responsibilities

• Define your domain's quarterly strategy and goals within the Platform team.
• Lead complex discovery autonomously during modernization of policy lifecycle.
• Dive deep into technical detail and collaborate on trade-offs with engineering.
• Treat internal teams as customers to enable fast, predictable launches of new products or journeys.
• Make services AI-ready with well-documented APIs and safe data for agents/automations.
• Establish metrics for reliability, incidents, time-to-launch and cost to serve; build business cases for platform investments.
• Incorporate compliance from day one with Legal, Compliance and Finance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders through ceremonies and planning, escalating when needed.
