Job summary

A&O Shearman in Belfast is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (Manager) to lead the strategy, design and implementation of advanced AI and ML use cases across the firm's IT and Technology Platforms. You will manage a skilled IT team, coordinate with external providers, and own the full lifecycle from model development to deployment, ensuring scalable architectures and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and AI model development.
• Proficiency in Python, R or C# and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven project and program management capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI strategy across the firm’s IT platforms.
• Lead and mentor the AI Engineering team and coordinate with external providers.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of AI solutions from model development to deployment.
• Ensure scalable architecture and alignment with best practices across projects.
