Job summary

A&O Shearman in Belfast or London seeks a Senior AI Engineer (Manager) to lead the AI Platform’s strategy and delivery. You will guide a skilled IT team, coordinate with external providers, and ensure scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions across the firm.

You will own end-to-end AI lifecycle from model development to validation and deployment, partnering with business stakeholders to map use cases to measurable outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in ML, DL and AI model development.
• Strong software development background with production-grade systems.
• Proven leadership of large IT teams and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI engineering efforts across the firm and manage a team.
• Define strategy, design, and implementation of AI/ML use cases.
• Oversee deployments and integration of AI solutions.
• Mentor engineers and ensure alignment with HR policies.
• Manage external service providers and vendor performance.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to map AI to business outcomes.
