Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking an experienced Lead Product Engineer in London to guide a distributed engineering team across data, analytics and ML initiatives. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with architectural decisions, cloud design on AWS/Azure, and shaping the AI strategy for Markets & Risk Intelligence products.

You will mentor engineers, drive product development, design scalable data platforms and ensure high-quality delivery in a global, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data warehousing or analytics.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture and AWS services.
• Experience leading distributed or remote engineering teams.
• Proficient in Python.
• Proven experience designing enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Proven expertise in building and optimizing ETL pipelines using SQL, Python and dbt.
• Experience with AI development tools and platforms (e.g., GPT APIs, Copilot).
• Architect, designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines across AWS/Azure.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality controls.
• Strong communication skills for partner engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the engineering team.
• Lead technology assessment for new products/features.
• Design and build solutions on public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Collaborate with product management, design, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Lead AI integration and translate goals into actionable technical tasks.
• Lead the design, development and deployment of AI-enhanced software solutions.
• Prototype and test; develop testing procedures and performance testing.
• Resolve technical issues and quality excursions during development and production.
