Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer in London to design, build, and operate production‑grade AI services and data pipelines on Azure and Databricks. You will own end‑to‑end delivery, from data ingestion to model deployment and observability across AXIS AI platforms.

You will collaborate with engineering, data science, product, security, and infrastructure teams to implement secure APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and reusable platform components at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong production‑level Python engineering experience.
• Experience with PySpark or equivalent large‑scale data processing frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production‑grade AI services, data pipelines, and platform capabilities on Azure and Databricks.
• Develop LLM‑powered and agentic workflows that support business process automation and orchestration.
• Expose AI capabilities through secure APIs and Azure Function/Container App backends.
• Own CI/CD delivery pipelines for AI and data workloads.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and Azure tooling.
• Build and manage Databricks jobs, workflows, and data pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting using OpenTelemetry.
