Becrypt is seeking a Principal Architect – AI to shape the company’s AI strategy across engineering, product and operations. This hands-on, senior IC role emphasizes technical depth, credibility and governance rather than people management.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, securing and operating complex software platforms.
• Hands-on work with containerised environments and AI tooling.
• Enterprise or platform architecture at principal/CTO-advisory level.
• Design of policy-based authorisation and secure-by-design controls.
• Senior individual contributor with cross-functional influence.
• Ability to balance security, usability, risk and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Assess processes across the business to identify AI value, risk and efficiency gains.
• Act as the go-to technical AI authority across Becrypt with engineers and IT.
• Develop AI policy, governance, risk assessment and compliance frameworks.
• Advise leadership on AI strategy and risk posture.
• Design and build platforms for long-running AI workflows and gateways.
• Design Docker-based services using Linux, Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, MCP/FastMCP, OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock.
• Build reusable services and integrations with security and scalability in mind.
• Probe AI systems for vulnerabilities and feed findings back into design.
• Collaborate hands-on with engineers to improve security, maintainability and direction.
