Job summary

Arm is seeking a Principal Engineering Platform AI Architect to set direction for embedding AI across engineering platforms, toolchains and workflows. You will translate fast-moving AI capabilities into scalable, secure target architectures, roadmaps and reusable patterns.

This senior individual contributor role partners with platform, data and security leaders to ensure principled AI adoption while protecting provenance and IP across silicon design, software development, CI/CD and engineering

Qualifications

• Leads architecture for complex engineering platforms at scale.
• Designs production AI solutions including generative/agentic systems.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, source control, build systems and developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture and roadmaps for AI-enabled engineering across software development, build, verification and engineering operations.
• Turn priorities and market insight into clear build/buy/reuse decisions to reduce fragmentation.
• Create patterns for orchestration, tool access, context, evaluation and production support.
• Define integration patterns across source control, CI/CD, artefact management, IDEs, APIs and command-line workflows.
• Set architecture for identity, secrets, permissions, and auditability for AI-enabled workflows.
• Shape how AI accesses source code, design artefacts and telemetry while protecting provenance and IP.
• Lead significant AI design decisions and influence senior engineers and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Partner with Platform Architecture, Data, Security and service leaders to develop reusable guidance.
