Job summary

Mimecast Limited in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the build-and-prove layer of AI Native Engineering within the P&E group. You will deliver reusable tooling, agentic prototypes, and secure, scalable patterns that speed up delivery across R&D teams.

You will work with AI/ML concepts, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cross-functional engineers to reduce friction and drive production-ready software across domains.

Qualifications

• Mid-to-senior engineering experience with growing scope and initiative.
• Experience in cybersecurity or adjacent enterprise SaaS domains preferred.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts including prompt engineering, model evaluation and retrieval-augmented generation is valuable but can be developed in-role.
• Experience contributing to internal tooling or developer-facing platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on reusable tooling and automation that accelerates AI-native development across Product and R&D.
• Develop agentic system prototypes demonstrating production-ready patterns for teams to adopt.
• Evolve internal visibility and measurement systems for leadership insights on AI-native evolution.
• Collaborate to surface challenges, bottlenecks, and opportunities as workflows mature.
• Contribute to paved roads focusing on architecture and security alignment to reduce governance costs.
