Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in London seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer to join an embedded Innovation Squad, tackling challenging AI-powered software from research to production.

You will design and implement AI-enabled systems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions. The role emphasizes fast delivery, code quality, CI/CD, and reusable patterns across functions.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a defined problem with fast, time-boxed cycles.
• Experience with agentic AI / LLMs, memory, tools and retrieval for multi-step tasks.
• Proficient in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and AI SDKs.
• Able to design across components and translate product requirements into software designs.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise systems via APIs and data pipelines.
• Familiar with CI/CD, TDD, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes and proofs of concept, shipping AI solutions to production standard.
• Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows.
• Contribute to evaluation, observability and guardrails for agentic systems.
• Instrument solutions to capture outcome data against baselines.
• Interface with peers to finalise requirements and write detailed specifications.
• Translate product requirements into software designs with host-function stakeholders.
• Complete moderately complex bug fixes and flag risks early.
• Apply CI/CD, modern SDLC, and conduct code reviews.
