Job summary

RELX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer to join Embedded Innovation. You will build intelligent systems, design models, and convert AI experiments into reusable solutions within an embedded squad.

You will work closely with stakeholders to translate needs into robust software, write and review specifications, and mentor junior engineers through hands-on collaboration. You will contribute to prototyping, tool use, retrieval pipelines, and agent workflows, while ensuring

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 4+ years software engineering experience, incl. AI-enabled or data-intensive systems.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and modern SDLC.
• Ability to design across multiple components.
• Strong mentoring and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software and AI-enabled features within embedded squads.
• Translate user needs into scalable software solutions and specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align requirements with product goals.
• Develop prototypes, validate with data, and ship production-ready code.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing and reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and testing practices.
• Maintain high code quality and comprehensive documentation.
• Engage across agile or other dev processes and manage risk early.
