Job summary

The AA in London is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, build and deploy production AI solutions. You will own outcomes end-to-end, from problem formulation to live operation, working across predictive analytics, automation, generative AI and agent-based systems.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, engineers and business stakeholders, delivering robust, scalable AI capabilities while embedding responsible AI principles and ensuring high-quality data governance

Qualifications

• Strong, recent hands-on AI or ML engineering experience.
• Clear evidence of personally building, deploying and operating AI or ML systems in production.
• Practical experience across the end-to-end AI and ML lifecycle.
• Experience building production AI applications and services, including generative AI or agent-based systems.
• Strong production engineering capability with CI/CD, containerisation, cloud native deployment and observability.
• Experience taking meaningful technical ownership within cross-functional teams with responsible AI principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate scalable AI and ML applications using Python.
• Own technical outcomes from problem definition through to production deployment and monitoring.
• Make pragmatic engineering decisions on model performance, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Build production capability with CI/CD, containerisation, cloud native practices, monitoring and deployment automation.
• Develop reusable components and contribute through code reviews, documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Embed responsible AI principles throughout development including fairness, privacy, security and human oversight.
