CPS Group are supporting a global IT consultancy who are expanding their AI and Software Engineering function in response to more Public Sector projects. This Senior AI Software Engineer role focuses on designing, building and deploying AI-powered applications on Microsoft Azure in secure, regulated environments.

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle, mentor peers and work in a hybrid Cardiff setup with monthly in-office presence, delivering robust, production-grade APIs and AI solutions for

Qualificações

• Strong C#/.NET engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience building AI agentic tools and applications.
• Experience deploying AI solutions to live systems in regulated contexts.
• Knowledge of APIs, backend services and enterprise integration.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services and Azure OpenAI.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering and orchestration.
• SC clearance eligibility is required.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and deploy AI agentic tools and applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Develop production-ready software and APIs using C#/.NET and Azure AI services.
• Build multi-agent systems and AI-powered workflows with existing data sources.
• Apply prompt engineering, RAG and orchestration to boost AI performance.
• Implement AI security, monitoring, testing and governance.
• Take ownership across the full development lifecycle from design to production.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
• Mentor fellow engineers and share best practices.
