Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the UK is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Engineer to translate business problems into scalable AI solutions and own end-to-end delivery of AI/ML use cases across international markets. You will build production-grade services with guardrails and observability, working across agile teams to deliver impactful AI products.

You will lead the engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products, set quality standards through code reviews, and collaborate with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on AI/ML engineering concepts
• Advanced proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
• Hands-on experience building, evaluating, and deploying ML models into production
• Experience with Large Language Models, including prompt engineering, RAG and fine-tuning
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud-native deployment patterns
• Demonstrated experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for ML or data-intensive systems
• Strong communication skills engaging senior stakeholders and translating technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end delivery of priority IPB AI/ML use cases, from problem framing through to deployed production services
• Leads the engineering build of agentic AI and LLM-powered products across international markets
• Sets the engineering quality bar through code reviews, design, and pairing with peers
• Establishes and operates Responsible AI controls in production (guardrails, observability, model risk)
• Turns business problems into funded AI/ML workstreams in collaboration with stakeholders
• Represents AIML team in governance forums ensuring regulatory and data-privacy considerations are embedded
• Contributes to GenAI education through training content and mentoring
• Champions diversity, inclusion, and respect
