Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the UK is hiring an Associate AI ML Engineer within the IPB Tech AIML team. You will design, develop, and deliver agentic AI and machine learning components used by IPB advisors and clients across international markets.

Working under senior engineers, you will turn well-defined problems into production-quality code and grow through hands-on tooling such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot while upholding Responsible AI standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on AI/ML engineering concepts and applied experience.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices (testing, version control, code review).
• Practical exposure to ML/LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic frameworks).
• Familiarity with AI coding tools as part of the development workflow.
• Understanding of CI/CD, containerisation, or cloud-native deployment concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
• BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting for the team's AI/ML products.
• Builds and tests features of agentic AI and ML applications.
• Writes secure, production-quality code and maintains algorithms that run with systems.
• Contributes to model evaluation, guardrail testing, and observability tasks for Responsible AI standards.
• Participates in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and design discussions.
• Gathers and analyzes data to support feature delivery and troubleshooting.
• Learns continuously, using AI coding tools in day-to-day development.
• Contributes to team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
