Job summary

Burberry seeks a Senior Developer, AI & Emerging Tech to evolve the shared agentic platform, shaping its architecture, governance and engineering practices for enterprise-scale AI capabilities.

You will collaborate with Enterprise Architects, data engineers and solution teams to define orchestration, prompts, model evaluation and integration patterns while building documentation and platform SLOs across IT domains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/ML engineering, platform engineering or software engineering.
• Experience designing, building and operating agentic AI systems and multi-agent orchestration.
• Proficient in Python and modern software practices; hands-on with cloud AI services.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or CrewAI.
• Knowledge of RAG, vector DBs, embeddings and API design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain shared agentic platform services at enterprise scale.
• Own the agent platform engineering layer with governance and observability.
• Develop prompt engineering patterns and model evaluation frameworks.
• Serve as interim centre of agentic development expertise and transfer patterns to domain teams.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align with reference architecture and standards.
• Work with integration engineers to enable enterprise tools and secure agent-system connectivity.
• Ensure data platform integration for agents with governed data and metrics.
• Provide documentation and enforce platform SLOs for orchestration and throughput.
• Evaluate emerging tooling and conduct PoC validations where justified.
