CluePoints in the United Kingdom is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to shape AI-first quality engineering. You will architect Playwright automation frameworks in TypeScript/JavaScript, build reusable AI skills and agents, and set governance for AI adoption across squads.

You will mentor testers and developers, integrate automation into CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes, and drive risk-based testing across API and UI layers while delivering measurable quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience architecting scalable Playwright automation frameworks for enterprise web apps.
• Expert-level TypeScript/JavaScript with modern software engineering principles.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants in real delivery with governance and validation.
• Proven experience designing AI-native quality engineering solutions: prompt engineering, AI-assisted test generation, self-healing.
• Hands-on experience building reusable AI skills/agents for testing use cases.
• Strong integration of automation into CI/CD, containerised test execution, cloud-native test infra.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve scalable Playwright automation frameworks in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Design and build AI-native testing capabilities: AI skills, agents, workflows for test generation and maintenance.
• Drive responsible AI adoption across squads with governance for AI-generated code and tests.
• Integrate automation into modern CI/CD pipelines with containerised execution (Docker, Kubernetes) and quality gates.
• Own automation strategy across API, UI, integration, and end-to-end layers with risk-based testing.
• Mentor engineers, run architecture reviews, measure impact of AI-driven testing with meaningful metrics.
