Job summary

Alliants Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Southampton to own the platform design and the AI‑orchestrated delivery pipeline. You will shape architecture, build guardrails and review outputs before production, working closely with a five‑engineer team in a fast‑moving environment.

You’ll drive trunk-based development, daily releases and a strong emphasis on reliability, observability and scalable systems within an autonomous, product‑led squad.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production software at a senior level.
• Strong system design capability with trade-offs.
• Platform or DevOps mindset — CI/CD and delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on experience directing AI coding agents in production.
• Solid TypeScript and API/data experience (GraphQL/REST, Postgres, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Own large, ambiguous problems from framing through to production.
• Set architectural direction for the platform and document trade-offs.
• Build delivery pipeline turning intent into shippable code.
• Write and maintain evals, tests and guardrails.
• Review generated code to ensure producible outputs.
• Release to production daily and diagnose issues.
• Remove friction in the delivery loop (CI, tests, context).
• Raise the bar by establishing patterns and tooling for teammates.
• Translate technical decisions into plain language for stakeholders.
